When you sign up using Google, GitHub, or Microsoft authentication, we collect:

- Profile picture URL (if provided by your authentication provider)
- Authentication provider used
2.2 Content You Create
We store content you choose to create on our platform:
- Snips (code snippets, AI prompts, text notes, Markdown content)
- Collections you create to organise snips
- Titles, descriptions, and tags you add
- Images you upload
2.3 Usage & Analytics Data
We automatically collect certain information when you use our service:
- IP address (stored in hashed form for privacy)
- Page views and interactions
- Browser user agent
- Session identifiers
- Timestamps of activity
This data is used to understand how our service is used, prevent abuse, and improve the user experience.
2.4 Payment Information
If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details. We receive from Stripe:
- Subscription status
- Customer ID
- Last four digits of your payment card (for display purposes only)
- Billing history

If you contact us via the contact form or email, we store your message, email address, and any information you provide to respond to your enquiry.
3. How We Use Your Information

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We share your data with the following third-party service providers who help us operate Power Snips:
5.1 Supabase

5.2 Stripe
Our payment processor. Stripe handles all payment transactions and stores your payment information securely. Stripe Privacy Policy

Our email service provider. Resend sends transactional emails on our behalf, such as contact form confirmations. Resend Privacy Policy
5.4 Authentication Providers
When you sign in using Google, GitHub, or Microsoft, those providers share limited profile information with us as described in Section 2.1. We recommend reviewing their respective privacy policies.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to provide our services:
- Account data: Retained while your account is active
- Content you create: Retained while your account is active or until you delete it
- Analytics data: View records are automatically deleted after 90 days
- Payment records: Retained as required by financial regulations (typically 7 years)
- Contact enquiries: Retained for up to 2 years
If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.
